Recieving Light
Recieving Light
Earth Element · Receiving Light
This painting sits between grounding and receiving.
Receiving Light is an invitation to slow down and feel where you are — in your body, in the room, in this moment.
Before symbols, before meaning, there is presence.
At the center of the painting sits a figure in meditation, grounded and still, with the body anchored to earth while the head leans back to receive light. This gesture reflects a quiet openness — a moment of alignment between what is held within and what flows from above.
Surrounding the head are ancient geometric symbols often associated with creation and consciousness: the Seed of Life, the six-petal rosette, and Metatron’s Cube. Together they suggest a universal order — a reminder that structure and mystery can exist at the same time.
The downward-pointing triangle with a horizontal line, the traditional symbol of earth, anchors the composition. Subtle triangular forms carry the words as above, so below; as within, so without; as the universe, so the soul — echoing the idea that what we experience internally is deeply connected to the world around us.
